Use Twitter to search for jobs
This guide will show you how to job search using Twitter. I use a free tool called Hootsuite (read more below) which enables me to manage multiple social networks and search terms. It’s an awesome tool and I suggest you check them out here: http://hootsuite.com
What is Hootsuite?
HootSuite is a social media communications dashboard often used for online brand management. It publishes to websites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, MySpace, and WordPress. It is also a Twitter client.
How can I use Hootsuite to search for a job?
It’s really easy. All you need is a Twitter account. Once you have your Twitter account linked in Hootsuite, create a new Tab. In that tab add a Stream. Select Search then type “Job [City]“. If you’re a web designer, add web designer to the search. I’ve found it’s best to use more broad search terms because it’s so easy to look through them quickly. You don’t want to miss something because the search decided not to display it for whatever reason. That’s it! Create multiple streams with different keywords and you’ll get a constant stream of open jobs.
Step 1: Add new Tab
Step 2: Add a new stream (a window will appear)
Step 3: Enter your search words. Think of hashtags you want to search for. Get creative and experiment
Step 4: Browse the list. You can even narrow it down more by using a filter. To do that select the dropdown arrow (in the blue, next to refresh) and select Filter

This is awesome. I gotta try this. I know just using the twitter search is great for finding jobs or internships that are open, but this is prob a more efficient way going about it. How else do you use Hootsuite?
